Ahoy! Thar Be Some Sea Dogs Here!

I'd love to share this new collection with you! These are a bunch of fun and cute sea dogs having adventures on the high seas! I started out by sketching out the little guys and then I developed the other elements like the ships and birds.

I always like my work to be very versatile so I added a few coordinating prints.

In addition to the more elaborate coordinates, I also created a few simpler patterns to go along and round out the collection.

Honestly I love designing patterns and illustrations for kids. It is so fun imagining up designs that I could decorate my kids' rooms in. I have a son and a daughter so luckily the inspiration and interest is balanced.

These patterns were created for Design Garden's new Kids Trends workshop. I would highly recommend checking it out if you are interested in learning what the current trends for the childrens' market is. I did take their 2016-2017 Trends workshop which is more in depth since it's a general trends across multiple markets class (as opposed to focusing on just the kids' market).

I am a strong believer that everyone has room to grow and something that they can improve in themselves and their work. Currently I'm enrolled in a great class: Design Garden's Trends Online Workshop. This workshop is a 4 week course on how to mix and create work based of current trends (that change yearly).
