Net Picks - Woodland Friends

This week's Net Picks showcase a variety of fun and beautiful renditions of woodland creatures. I'm not sure if it's just a trending theme right now or has always been popular, but either way, I love it and hope it's here to stay!

  1. Kat Leuzinger - I love this eye catching piece by Kat Leuzinger! It reminded me of Matryoshka nesting dolls which I adore! It lead me to check out her website and she has such a great graphic style with an eye for using bright colors. It looks like her work ranges from editorial, illustration to pattern and stationery design.
  2. Astrid Prasetianti - Astrid's website has a very wide range of work. I was drawn to this piece because it evoked a really calm yet fanciful mood. I felt I wanted to see more of the world contained in this little piece.
  3. Rebecca Jones - I've been a fan of Rebecca's work for quite a while. Her work is full of charm, character and lovely details as seen in this owl piece.
  4. Lucille Michielli - I love the delicate quality of Lucille's illustrations coupled with the strong solid shapes. Her work is very sophisticated and I love that she works with traditional media.

My Net Picks series is my opportunity to share with you wonderful art, artists, tools and resources that I have found. My hope is to help my readers discover new talent that inspires them, tools and information to help them with their artistic endeavors, and also to garner support for great creatives!
