I am in love with the look of hand drawn calligraphy and lettering. It's a skill I've never really been able to do well so I appreciate and respect the artists that have the talent. Here are a few calligraphers I follow on Instagram:
- @piecescalligraphy - Sharisse's feed has tons of wonderful work ranging from videos of her writing to sketchbook posts. I love how she shows different tools of the trade like her Tombow dual brush pens and even the humble Crayola marker!
- @calligrafikas - I love how Drew's feed is brimming with vibrant color! Not only does she do wonderful calligraphy, she also is a very skilled watercolorist. I'm just in awe that she creates her beautiful hand drawn script with a brush!
- @mollyjacques - Molly's work is super beautiful and her skill is obvious. Along with her calligraphy, she also teaches classes online through Skillshare and her online workshops. I have actually taken her Skillshare Introduction to the Art of Modern Calligraphy course and it was really great!
For those of us who love the look of hand drawn calligraphy and lettering but may not be blessed with the talent, here are some lovely fonts that I have bought and used (and Love).
As I mentioned above I have bought all these fonts. These are all wonderful quality and some even come with extended libraries of glyphs and vector extras. Even without these extra goodies the fonts themselves are beautiful.
