Although I consider myself a full-time freelance illustrator and designer, I feel it’s important to always look for new opportunities to create income. The bulk of my income does come from larger illustration and design jobs but I also use passive income streams to give me a little boost!
Read MoreI love cute! I think that's why I decided to focus my illustration work towards the children's market. It's wonderful that there is so much variety nowadays for kids and adults alike that feature cute and cuddly characters!
This week's featured artist's all have delightfully cute styles!
Read MoreMy first foray into freelancing over a decade ago was an experience that left me considering other job options. I was fresh out of college with little in my portfolio and even less confidence. I ended up going back to school and landing a design job with a government agency for over 5 years before I decided to try my hand at freelancing again. Even though this is an online course, I feel it’s important, as a teacher, to come off as pleasant, genuine and happy to be sharing your knowledge.

Read MoreI'm sure most people enjoy this time of year, or at least the fun aspects. I have to admit that the "magic" of the holiday seasons has diminished some as I've grown older and have had kids. It almost feels like passing on the torch to the little ones and now we adults have to deal with the cleaning, shopping, waiting in line, mountains of bills, wrapping and mess of the holidays.
